What’s in a name?

I’m renaming myself. Well, not my self. But my blog. I think it’s time to call it what it is, to focus on what we all know streams out of me most of the time…Confessions of Motherhood.

(Coincidentally, that’s the title of my book, too. Isn’t that cool?)

So “Laura Diamond Writes On…” will become “Confessions of Motherhood.”

Me, I’m still Laura Diamond. Loo to my husband. Looshky to my sister. Lulu to my mom. LD to friends from high school and law school and anyone else who likes it.

Let’s not forget the muses: I’m Mom, Mommy, Mother, Mama, Mom-o or MOOOOOOOOOOM! to my sons, depending on what’s working or not for them.

It’s not just the name changing. I’m adding more focus on helping Moms in Need. The middle-class-blog-reading-women-of-the-world have much to offer women who have less spare time and bandwith — say mothers in refugee camps trying to get their kids food, clean water, medicine, and an education.

I hope you’ll continue to enjoy. And share this blog if you like it. Let’s get this sucker read widely, make an impact for women in need, and remember to enjoy the ride.

    1. The etymology of the nickname “Loo” has its roots in the classic comic strip, “Little Lulu.”
Oh, who am I fooling. It’s the Heisens, right? Definitely not anyone of British descent. 🙂

    1. Thanks. Looking for a new WordPress theme, too. Which is why I’m on my computer as it nears midnight…so fun to browse and try things on for size. What do you use?
