It’s March, it’s spring, it’s green stuff blooming everywhere. That other kind of green comes into play, too — greenbacks for drum lessons and baseball cleats and organic rainbow carrots (that’s what appeared in our Farm Fresh To You Box this morning.)
It’s easy to get caught up in how much everything costs. Which is why I wrote last year that the main thing we have to give our kids is our time, our presence.
I wrote how much I appreciate that the guy I married turned out to be a Dad who loves nothing more than spending time with his family.
We’ve tested our commitment to that principle in the past two years, downsizing our living expenses so we could continue the quality of life we were living. It turns out that a lot of folks are out there making similar choices.
